📷 Product Photography and 📊10-Point Based Visual Grading Standard
No guessing. No generic stock photos. I shoot every listing from multiple angles using a diffuse and directed light combination to remove shadows and highlight any visual anomalies such as print production defects, storage stress marks, etc.
The Rare Discount Comix non-numerical, raw aesthetic grading system heavily prioritizes features synonymous with excellent display and reading capacity, such as beautiful, eye-popping covers with little to no roll, stiff spines, consistent, precise alignments and high levels of lay flat capability. Sometimes items with particularly iconic covers or other features may be listed for consideration with minor defects if collectively, they don't deter from the display impact and beauty of the product. Products of this sort will generally fall under the GD-VF (Good to Very Fine) grade designation.
